Finding the perfect kids shoes is not easy. Squeaker shoes,
flashing lights, shoes with various superhero characters added on all
sides and even to the sole, fancy brand names, velcro, laces, false
buckles, and a lot more hits you when you reach the shoe shop to find
the best sports shoes for kids. If you want your child to be
able to run properly, then finding the right kids shoes is
imperative.
Buying shoes for teens is generally a much simpler task as they are
more or less adult size but kids shoes are another ball game.
Not only do you want the shoe to fit your under 12 year old but it
also needs to fit your budget. A kid cannot run in boots or sandals
or crooks, so you might think that your choice is slightly simpler
when you pick up the best sports shoes for kids.
But you need to consider how much running and movement does your
child need, which sport will they play and if they are overweight,
you might need a shoe with more cushioning for extra comfort. It is
becoming a fashionable thing to allow your kid to run barefoot or
with minimal sole but that can lead to a whole lot of injuries that
one may avoid by putting in some time into research on kids shoes.
This is especially true if you need an athletic or sport related shoe
for your kid which generally means the best fitting kids shoes
available so that they do not slip. Once you have measured the
foot of the child at the store, look for such kids shoes that
have a solid arch support. There should not be huge gaps between the
sole of the foot and the bottom of the shoe. Usually such shoes have
a label marked as ‘shock absorbing’. Also, slip on or velcro
shoes are not as good as kids shoes with laces as they can be
better secured.
If your kids choice of sports is football, then you need enough
cleats on the heel to minimise knee and ankle injuries. Also, shorter
cleats work better for kids who need to get used to them before
moving to larger ones in a couple of years.
